Daniel was born in Buffalo, New York and Barb was born in Cleveland, Ohio. They met while attending Syracuse University where they both graduated from the College of Visual and Performing Arts earning BFA degrees in Interior Design. They worked in Manhattan for over twenty years, Barb as a published corporate designer and Dan primarily as a design director for Macy's designing their new stores and major renovations nationally. Dan currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, N.J. focused on multicultural activities. Barb is currently President of the New Jersey Executive Board of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, an international Philanthropic Educational Organization which provides scholarships and grants for women's education. They are members of the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA), the Society of Gilders, the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), Business Networking International (BNI), the Colts Neck Business Association (CNBA), and the Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce.
